DIISONONYL PHTHALATE（DINP) is an organic compound with C26H42O4. It is a transparent oily liquid with a slight smell. This product is a universal primary plasticizer with excellent performance. This product and PVC are well -soluble, and they will not be precipitated even if they are used in large quantities; volatility, migration, and non -toxicity are better than DOP, which can give the product good optical resistance, heat resistance, aging resistance and electrical insulation performance. The overall performance is better than that DOP. Because the products produced by this product are well -used, they have good water resistance, low toxicity, aging resistance, and excellent electrical insulation, they are widely used in toy film, wires, and cables.
Chemical properties: Colorless or light yellow oily liquid. Insoluble in water, soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. The volatility is lower than DOP. It has good heat resistance.
DINP has better comprehensive performance than DOP：
1.Compared with DOP, the molecular weight is larger and longer, so it has better aging performance, resistance to migration, anticairy performance, and higher high temperature resistance. Correspondingly, under the same conditions, the plasticization effect of DINP is slightly worse than DOP. It is generally believed that DINP is more environmentally friendly than DOP.
2.DINP has superiority in improving extrusion benefits. Under the typical extrusion processing conditions, DINP can reduce the melting viscosity of the mixture than DOP, which helps reduce the pressure of the port model, reduce mechanical wear or increase the productivity (up to 21%). There is no need to change the product formula and production process, no additional investment, no additional energy consumption, and maintaining product quality.
3.DINP is normally oily liquid, insoluble in water. Generally transported by tankers, small batch of iron buckets or special plastic barrels.
Applications：
- A widely used chemical with potential thyroid-disrupting properties. Used in toxicology studies as well as risk assessment studies of food contamination that occurs via migration of phthalates into foodstuffs from food-contact materials (FCM).
- General purpose plasticizers for PVC applications and flexible vinyls. 3. Diisononyl Phthalate is a main plasticizer, which is used in various hard and hard plastic products, which can be mixed with other plasticizers without affecting its own characteristics.
